Trailer: The Bourne Legacy - Aug 3

Directed by Tony Gilroy. Starring Jeremy Renner, achel Weisz, Edward Norton, and Stacy Keach.

Terrible trailers come out every week. Predictable, loud, routine, derivative trailers have developed a language all their own, one that audiences are able to comprehend. And they’ve become a punchline just the same. This spot is one of the rare few that bucks the trend (for the most part) and it does it well. The sliding panels are a clever trick that add anticipation into the fabric of the trailer. I know Ed Norton’s voice, now let me see his face, damnit. Good stuff. I don’t know that I need to go see this movie anymore than when I did before seeing the trailer, but at least it did something.
